Former client, FreeMoreWest relied on Yellow Duck Marketing to provide strategic direction to the 501c3, manage their ongoing social media and online presence and event planning.
For the signature event, Taste of FreeMore, which promotes local restaurants, Yellow Duck provided branding, signage and public relations promotional efforts. The result was that the event was featured on 6 TV segments, 14 area event calendars, the Charlotte Observer and over 650 people attended the event which featured live music. Yellow Duck Marketing utilized Facebook advertising extensively to promote the event.
Additionally, Yellow Duck Marketing helped plan the first annual FreeMoreWest 5K on the Greenway, Julianne’s brainchild. The objective was to introduce people to the beautiful west side and awareness for the FreeMoreWest area. As expected, the first year event financially broke even, and had over 250 registrants. People loved hanging out after the race with local breweries, food trucks, supporter tents and a DJ who spurred some line dancing like the Wobble. In year two we grew it to over 300 registrants on a rainy day which allowed us to donate $5,000 to Goodwill’s new Opportunity Campus and raise funds for more FMW events. In 2015 YDM added J Leigh Events to the event team to boost efforts and help our guests have a great time!
In addition, YDM provided supportive social media, press releases and graphic design for the organization and worked with another member, Atypic, on the organization’s website redesign. Since Yellow Duck was retained, FreeMoreWest tripled membership and engagement during the time that we worked with them.
