Hiya! Laura N here but feel free to call me L 😊 Coming from across the pond to landing at Yellow Duck Marketing in 2020 has been quite the adventure.

After graduating from East Carolina University with a BS in communication, I headed to the state capital and gained experience in the communications office for the North Carolina Department of Public Safety and North Carolina Emergency Management. My time in Raleigh coincided with the challenges posed by Hurricane Matthew and Hurricane Florence, where I coordinated communication efforts with local, state, and federal agencies. Before making a splash at YDM, I worked at a strategic communications agency and earned an MS in communication from Syracuse University.

My passion for building relationships with clients and communities is at the heart of everything I do. As Senior Communications Lead for Utilities & Municipal, you’ll find me making waves in the public sector and championing high-profile water infrastructure improvement projects for Charlotte Water that help build a better future, drop by drop, for the City of Charlotte and greater Mecklenburg County.

I mean, really, who better to advocate for water-related endeavors than a duck, right?
