Hey there, I’m Laura! With over a decade of tenure at Yellow Duck, I proudly hold the title of Digital Director.

At YDM, I’ve helped dream up websites for Waverly, SunCap, the Hermes Award-Winning Catawba Lands Conservancy, and I even led the development of our impressive Project Wingspan. My focus is on user experience design, user interface design, WordPress magic, PHP, email marketing and overall digital problem-solving.

When I graduated Virginia Tech with a marketing degree in [well do we really have to know the year], I ran in the opposite direction of my colleagues who went straight into sales. As a self-diagnosed introvert, I should have known better. In 2011, my husband Andrew and I moved to the “big city” and I honed my web design + dev skills at a top web design firm in Charlotte. Web design and development quickly became a passion, and something that still challenges me today.

When I’m not crushing it behind the computer or laughing at my own jokes, you’ll find me at home in Plaza Midwood with my family. Giving back is a big deal for me, I truly believe in making a positive impact in the community. I’ve previously held the role of Marketing Committee Chair and served on the Board of Directors for Supportive Housing Communities.
