Hi! I’m Nikki, Yellow Duck’s Sr. PR Specialist. Along with buzz building and making our clients shine bright in the spotlight, I occasionally play the role of copywriter.

I am honored to work with so many amazing clients at YDM. Arguably Charlotte’s hottest restaurant and winner of a laundry list of accolades, Steak 48 is one of my favorites. I love to tell their story not just of how top notch the food, service and ambiance are, but also their incredible philanthropic efforts and their commitment to the community here. YDM won a Communicator Award for our PR efforts for HEARTest Yard’s Ungala at Steak 48. The Southern Christmas Show, the largest holiday show in North America, is also near and dear to my heart. In 2024 alone, we secured 280+ pieces of coverage with an audience of 773M. I’m so proud of the work I get to do here. YDM is now back-to-back winners of Charlotte Magazine’s BOB Award for Best PR Firm.

For me, adulting started right after I threw my cap in the air. I jumped into my professional career in a newsroom just two days after graduation. I spent more than 11 years weaving TV magic behind the cameras as a news producer and senior marketing specialist, but it wasn’t until I left the world of TV that I finally found myself in front of the camera.

I was the face of Yelp in Charlotte for seven years as the Senior Community & Marketing Director. I wore many hats in that role with everything from event planning and social media strategy, to community building and my popular weekly TV segment on WBTV.

I have a true passion for all things Charlotte (including pro sports teams that love to break my heart) and am madly in love with this city. I had the honor of being named Social Innovator of the Year at the United Way Young Leader Awards. I was also crowned one of The Mecklenburg Times 50 Most Influential Women of 2023.

When I’m not in the pond, you can find me at home in the kitchen (I love to cook!), making my boyfriend Christian watch The Office on repeat, and hanging out with my 7-pound rescue yorkie Waffles.
