Senior Graphic Designer
Rachel Carow
Hello! I’m Rachel and I’ve been paddling my way through the design world for 21 years, 14 of which at Yellow Duck, proudly serving as the Senior Graphic Designer (and low-key Tabata leader).
At YDM, I spend my days flexing my creative spirit, crafting branding packages and print materials for a diverse range of brands. From Alliance Residential to Ascend Nonprofit Solutions, and even the Hermes Award-Winning Suncap Draper Place Brochure, I’ve had the honor of lending my design expertise. Oh, and let’s not forget the most meaningful client—giving the Yellow Duck Marketing logo a makeover back in 2019.
When it comes to print and logo design, that’s where my true passions ignite. I thrive on transforming words on a blank page into vibrant, living creations. Over the years, I’ve collaborated with and branded over 100 companies and properties, which has been incredibly fulfilling.
My journey began with a major in Studio Art/Graphic Design, followed by a job right out of college at a printing company in New York City. That experience was a crash course in the intricacies of the print world, providing me with more knowledge than I could have ever imagined. From there, I ventured into the publishing realm, working as the Associate Art Director in the creative department for a group of national magazines. The next stop of my adventure was marrying my Charlotte-native husband and relocating to the South. I was blessed to find Yellow Duck Marketing shortly after and I’ve been paddling alongside this amazing team ever since. Let’s dive in and get creative!
YEARS AT YDM: 14
Fun fact: My design career technically started in 1995 at age 12 when I created my first logo in Word 95 using Papyrus (a choice I've happily outgrown) for my business, Me 2 You, where I sold handcrafted decoupage picture frames, pins, and headbands.
