In May, Yellow Duck Marketing and its founder, Julianne McCollum, were awarded a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Crowns of Enterprise Award for Woman Business Enterprise of the Year. City of Charlotte Mayor Vi Liles gave the award to our Head Quack and called her the “Businesswoman of the Year.”

A collaborative effort between Charlotte Business INClusion and the Mecklenburg County Economic Development MWSBE Program, the awards recognize Minority, Women and Small Business Enterprises (MWSBE) in Charlotte-Mecklenburg that have provided excellent services to the City of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County and that demonstrate exemplary leadership and sound business strategies. Yellow Duck Marketing was noted as contributing to the community and shaping economic development of Charlotte.

 

McCollum was honored for creating a woman-owned firm that delivers exceptional customer service to its clients, both in the private and public sectors, while giving back to the community and making Charlotte a better place. Launched in 2011, the full-service agency recently relocated to Plaza Midwood and provides integrated marketing solutions to more than 130 clients.
