In July, we welcomed Angela Vogel Daley as our new Director of Strategy. In her new role, she’s responsible for creating strategic marketing plans for clients, including branding, PR, websites and social media, as well as heading up operations at YDM.

Angela spent eight years at The Charlotte Observer as Executive Editor of Magazines, overseeing SouthPark Magazine, Carolina Bride, Lake Norman Magazine, Living Here and the Observer’s Special Sections, and launched new websites and social media accounts for each publication.

After that, Angela moved over to AAA Carolinas as Director of Communications, where she managed the PR and social media strategy for the organization, from gas prices to traffic safety issues, as well as Go Magazine, the highest-circulation publication in the Carolinas at 1.2 million.

Wanting to expand her digital expertise, Angela headed up to Lowe’s corporate headquarters in Mooresville, where she was the Digital Content Editor for Lowes.com, developing content for homepage, banners, email and social media.

Angela’s excited to return to Charlotte and utilize her full range of skills in PR, digital, content, social media and marketing strategy.

Angela holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Education from the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire and her Master of Arts degree in English from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. In her free time, Angela loves hiking, kayaking and playing piano, as well as keeping up with her sons Nate (7) and Theo (5), husband Chuck, dog Wylie and kittens Scout and Huxley.
