2017 was a year of growth and expansion for Yellow Duck Marketing. Let’s take a look back at everything we accomplished last year!

Fresh Faces

We welcomed several new, major multifaceted marketing campaign clients in 2017 including Kimpton Hotels, Charlotte Center City Partners and Taylor Morrison, just to name a few. At Yellow Duck Marketing, we enjoy the special relationships we build with each individual client and are grateful that you trust us to grow your business.

Picture Perfect

Logo design continues to be an important part of the branding work we do. We work with our clients to understand the needs of their business. Our designers strive to design a logo and brand that will help our clients accomplish their future goals. This year we developed 23 logos, with several others in the works. Check out some of our work in our portfolio.

The Name Game

It’s true that a great name might strike when we least expect it. Often though, the perfect name hits after hours of competition research and brainstorming to make sure it encapsulates what makes a business or property unique. We named 10 properties and businesses in 2017, including Slate Storage, Belvedere at Berewick in Charlotte, NC, and Cayena in Austin, TX.

When it comes to building websites, it’s not our first paddle around the pond. Not only did we develop 21 client websites, but 10 Best Design also awarded us the fourth spot on its list of Best Charlotte Web Development Firms.

Future of Screens

As it becomes harder and harder to stand out among all of the chatter and attention-grabbing graphics, video production is a highly sought-after medium. Video is an effective way to spread branding messages and make them linger in the minds of your target audience. In 2017, we used our in-house video production and motion graphics animation abilities to produce a retail leasing video for Childress Klein’s Apex SouthPark, a leasing video for Cainhoy Pointe in Charleston, SC and a holiday video for Newark Academy in Newark, NJ.

Party Central

The ducks are always ready for amazing parties! Last year, we planned and hosted events attracting over 2,000 guests. The ducks flexed their webbed feet significantly in the hospitality industry too, overseeing the Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel grand opening in the fall with real-life acrobatics. We also organized Holding Village’s Realtor Valentine’s Day Luncheon at Farm Table in Wake Forest, North Carolina, as well as the community’s amenity center grand opening. We also managed a series of events for the walkable Charlotte community of Waverly including its grand opening bash, Halloween at Waverly celebration, Winter Wednesdays at Waverly festivals, and a grand opening and music series at its Terrace. 2017 fortunately gifted us the event planning wizardry of Jennifer Bishop of J. Leigh Events, an extended member of the Yellow Duck team.

Social Butterfly

Social media is forever changing and we make sure to stay on top of the latest trends and platforms in the social media world. Yellow Duck had a variety of social media clients on four different platforms at the close of 2017.

The Latest Quacks

As our client list has grown, so has our Duck Team! 2017 sent Multifamily Expert Emily Logue and Public Relations and Content Writing Intern Lauren Odomirok swimming straight into our office.

Give a Duck

Each year, we Ducks try to give back to the community whenever we can. Whether it’s offering up our marketing and communication services or saving the world one Facebook post at a time, we’re diligent about serving clients who are making a difference. In 2017, the Ducks donated over $28,000 in pro-bono work and charitable contributions. Two of our major beneficiaries were TreesCharlotte and the Children and Family Services Center.
